Terms of use

These terms of use apply to your access to and use of the CuTools Carbide website and related online enquiry services. By using this site, you agree to the conditions set out below, which apply in South Africa and are intended to support fair, lawful use.

1. Acceptance of these website terms

By visiting this website, submitting an enquiry form, or using any information published here, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and agree to follow them. If you do not agree, you should stop using the site immediately. These terms apply to all visitors, including customers, suppliers, contractors and other users who access the website from Germiston, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and elsewhere in South Africa.

CuTools Carbide operates from Wadeville, Germiston and provides solid carbide end mills and drills to CNC machining shops and related users across the country. The site is intended for business use and for general information about products and services. It is not a substitute for direct technical assessment where a machining application requires detailed advice.

2. Use of the site and permitted conduct

You may use the website for lawful business purposes only. You must not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use any form of automated scraping or data extraction without written permission. Any abusive, misleading or unlawful use of the enquiry form may be refused or reported where necessary.

  • Do not submit false, incomplete or misleading details through the contact form.
  • Do not copy or reuse site content for resale, publication or training material without permission.
  • Do not attempt to compromise site security, forms or server functions.
  • Do not use the site in a way that may place strain on systems, especially during load-shedding or connectivity interruptions.

We may restrict access if we believe a user is acting outside these terms or affecting fair use for other visitors.

3. Product information, quotations and stock guidance

Product descriptions, sizes, technical notes, application guidance and stock information are provided for general reference. While every reasonable effort is made to keep details current, machining results depend on material grade, machine condition, toolholding, coolant, speed, feed, setup and operator practice. A tool that suits one job may not suit another, even on similar material.

Any quotation, recommendation or stock indication is subject to confirmation by CuTools Carbide. Prices are shown or discussed in Rand unless stated otherwise, and may change without notice due to stock availability, freight, import costs or specification changes.

  • Quoted lead times are estimates only.
  • Urgent supply requests depend on current stock and transport conditions.
  • Technical advice should be checked against the actual workpiece and machine setup.

Users remain responsible for final tool selection and process settings, including safe use on CNC machining centres.

4. Intellectual property and website content

All content on this website, including text, photographs, layouts, logos, product descriptions, tables, drawings and downloadable material, is protected by intellectual property law unless otherwise stated. CuTools Carbide or its licensors retain the rights in that content. You may view and print pages for internal reference only, provided that you do not alter the material or remove notices.

You may not reproduce, publish, repurpose, distribute or commercially exploit website content without prior written consent. This includes use in catalogues, competitor comparisons, sales material or third-party databases. Limited quotation for lawful review or internal procurement purposes may be allowed where the source is acknowledged and the use is fair.

5. Liability, warranties and risk in machining use

The website is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, CuTools Carbide does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content or that every product will suit every application. Machining carries inherent risk, including tool breakage, surface finish issues, scrap, machine damage and production delay.

We are not liable for loss arising from incorrect use of the website, reliance on incomplete information, or failure to follow appropriate machining practice. This includes loss caused by power interruptions, connectivity problems, municipal disruptions, incorrect programme settings, unsuitable speeds and feeds, or ignoring technical advice. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  • Always test new tooling on suitable sample material before full production.
  • Use appropriate guarding, PPE and machine safety procedures.
  • Confirm tool dimensions and compatibility before setting up production runs.

6. Enquiries, privacy and governing law

Enquiries submitted through the contact form are used to respond to your request, prepare technical quotations, and manage customer service. We may retain message details for internal records, stock planning, support follow-up and quality control. By using the form, you consent to us using the submitted information for these business purposes.

CuTools Carbide is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of the business. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute arising from website use will be dealt with under South African jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

We may update these terms from time to time without prior notice. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
